This project involved the complete interior renovation of a traditional home in the Hamptons, including an addition on the second floor to create a stunning master bedroom suite. Along with interior designer Nathan Egan and landscape architect Ed Hollander, Brian O'Keefe Architect transformed the house from a standard builder grade spec home into a singular and spectacular designer level home. All interior and exterior architectural design and detailing were handled by BOKA, with the goal of making the new addition seamlessly blend into the overall exterior house design. Another concern was the creation of a fitting environment for the owners’ contemporary art collection, a goal achieved through the use of dark stone and wood floors with white paneling and woodwork. The kitchen was designed in the vein of Piet Boon.
